I. BRIEF HISTORY

The ARBO was formed by migrant settlers from the Bicol Region who eventually became agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs). It was identified as an ARBO during the profiling of barangays that will comprise Bagac ARC and organizations that are operating within in the year 2000. Its identification as a cooperative within an ARC opened up the organization to other ARB members within Brgy. Binukawan.

For years the cooperative catered to rice farmers from the low lying areas of the barangay and to upland rice farmers who are also camote producers. From among the cooperatives in Bagac ARC, it was the only organization that was able to re-register with the CDA under RA 9520 in March of 2010. As of today, the ARBO is negotiating with unregistered cooperatives within Bagac ARC for them to be absorbed by the ARBO to increase the feasibility of their pre and post harvest facilities granted by DAR under ARCCESS and also to render service to more farmers within the municipality which has the highest Average yield per hectare in the Province of Bataan.
