Filipino-American Youth Leadership Program (FYLPRO) delegates shared their stories and experiences touring around the Philippines at a town hall meeting in New York. Some of the delegates conveyed that the program helped them develop a stronger appreciation of the Philippines. They also encouraged other participants to not just visit, but also to contribute, establish partnerships, and collaborate with their fellow Filipinos. Another FYLPRO will be held July this year and there will be 10 slots available. Applications of interested applicants will be accepted by the end of February.

His business on cookie mill feeds made of recycled stale breads, coconut and other organic ingredients, was recently recognized as the top microenterprise in the Philippines. UN Adopts PH Resolution on Women Migrant Workers

A resolution sponsored by the Philippine government was adopted by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, in their efforts to minimize gender discrimination and women vulnerability while abroad. This resolution appeals to all countries to create a fair mechanism for women domestic workers in filing complaints of rights violation against their employers.
